Next-Generation Farmers’ Development

Realizing the fast aging of the original ARBs, ATFI engaged in the orientation and development of the ”Next Generation Farmers” farmers in every partner communities. Assisted by the SAMDHANA INSTITUTE-Philippines, ATFI conducted dialogical and apprenticeship process between old farmers (41-70 years old) comprising 80% of their communities and their successor generation of farmers ( 21-40 years old) comprising only 20% of their communities. The project bequeathed the sustainable agriculture orientation and practices from the elders to the youth in order for them to sustain their farms’ strategic path towards the future.

Through the ABZ Scholarship Grants (Nevada USA), ATFI is now assisting 27 college scholars from among the poorest partner farmers’ communities
